when you might want to switch, stack, or sell; and
necessary questions to address with a lawyer.

when to use a contract;
how to read a contract;
the biggest mistakes business owners make regarding contracts and how to avoid them;
how to negotiate a contract;
how to set-up your business to get the most out of your contracts (i.e. how to PROTECT YOURSELF!)

and

- the basics of intellectual property law, including:

what are the different types of intellectual property;
how to use them and create a healthy IP strategy;
how to create passive income;
how to attack others using intellectual property;
how to protect your business using intellectual property.

In addition, you will understand practical methodologies for calming anxieties, identifying and cultivating intuition, and understanding emotions and how to manage them with increased self-compassion.

Hi. I'm Melissa. I'm a mother, a lawyer, an entrepreneur, a yoga teacher, and the founder of Blissness® School.

After I birthed my daughter, everything changed in my life. Not only did I become a mother, but a single-mother. I was forced to seek help and support in a way I'd never done before. I literally knew nothing about babies! I had no family or friends who could assist, so I was forced to seek out strangers to mentor me in the obvious and more subtle nuances of parenting. My focus shifted from working to improve only myself to bettering our larger society -- after all, this is the world we are gifting our children. I am deeply grateful for the angels who showed up for me, and today I still count them amongst my closest friends and allies. This very humbling and scary experience made me want to share my gifts & knowledge with others in the most meaningful way I knew how.

After years of working in corporate law with companies like Genentech, adidas, LucasArts, and others, I decided to start my own practice. I've been helping creatives, artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs through rough legal terrain for over two decades as the Founding Attorney at The Law Offices of Melissa B. Jaffe, PC. I've been studying meditation and yoga for the past 20 years, and have received yoga teacher certificates from several schools of yoga. I am a registered yoga teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance and was asked to become a meditation teacher by my teacher, Jack Kornfield.

Blissness® School combines all of the knowledge I've gained through business, yoga and motherhood in a unique way designed to empower entrepreneurs with little to no formal training in business. This space is also designed for those who want to invite more Joy, happiness, and ease into their life.
